PandaChat Policies at a glance

Policies at a Glance

The full Privacy Policy and Terms of Service are the documents that count. This page is the short version, for anyone who wants the main points before their first call. Where the two differ, the full documents win.

1. Who PandaChat is for

People aged 18 or over, or the age of majority where they live if that’s higher, who want random one-on-one calls with someone new. You can start as a guest; there’s no sign-up form before your first call.

2. What the site does

  • Random matching by video, voice or text, chosen at the bottom of the match screen.
  • Who’s online, where you can look through people and pick someone to call.
  • Follows, messages, and a video button on each profile for calling someone again.
  • A Live section for watching one person on camera, chatting in the room, sending gifts and starting a 1v1 call. Users watch Live; they can’t go live themselves.
  • A web app you can add to your phone’s home screen. There’s no app-store version.

3. What we keep, in one breath

A guest identifier for your session, anything you add to a profile, your messages, follows and blocks, reports you make, purchase records, and technical details such as your device, browser, IP address and how you use the site. We use it to run calls, handle coins, keep people safe and fix problems. We don’t sell it.

The other person on a call sees and hears what you share, and could capture it on another device, so keep anything private off camera.

Some of that information is handled for us by hosting, network and payment providers, who may only use it to provide their service to PandaChat. We share information with authorities only when the law requires it or someone’s safety is at stake.

4. Guests and profiles

A guest session is created the first time the site loads, so that matching can work. You don’t need to give a name, email or phone number to start calling. If you add a photo or a line about yourself to your profile, anyone who opens your profile or sees you in Who’s online can see it, so add only what you’re happy for strangers to read.

Your messages go to the person you send them to. Following someone puts them on your Following list; blocking someone stops them reaching you through the site.

5. What isn’t allowed

The same rules apply on a private call, in messages and in the chat of a Live room. If you aren’t sure whether something crosses the line, the simplest test is whether the other person is clearly enjoying it. If they aren’t, stop. Our safety page has practical advice on handling calls that go wrong.

  • Harassment, threats, hate speech and pressuring anyone.
  • Nudity or sexual content on calls, in messages or in Live chat.
  • Anything involving a minor.
  • Asking for money, passwords or codes, or sending scam links.
  • Pretending to be someone else or sharing another person’s private details.
  • Bots, scripts and other automated tools, or capturing other people’s calls without permission.

6. Free matches and coins

PandaChat is free to start: new users get free matches, and more are offered as occasional rewards. After that, matching uses coins, which also pay for gifts in Live rooms. There’s an optional VIP membership. Coins have no cash value and can’t be swapped for money. The page on whether PandaChat is free explains it in more detail.

7. Reports, blocks and enforcement

Report or block anyone from their profile. Reports go to the team for handling, and people who break the rules can be warned, limited, suspended or removed.

If something needs more explanation than the report options allow, or you think a minor is using the site, email [email protected].

8. Browser storage and devices

PandaChat runs in your browser, so it uses small files and similar browser storage to keep your session going and to remember basic settings. If you add the site to your home screen, it uses the same storage as the browser it came from.

Clearing the site’s data in your browser settings signs that device out of its current session. Camera and microphone permissions are controlled by your browser too, and you can switch them off at any time; voice and text matching still work without the camera.

9. Your requests

You can ask for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to [email protected]. You can also clear the site from your browser to end your guest session on that device.

10. When these documents change

Each document shows the date of its latest update. When the site changes, the relevant document changes with it, and this summary is updated at the same time.
