Is PandaChat Free? Free to Start, and Here’s Where Coins Come In

Short version: yes, to start with. New users get free matches, the site hands out more as rewards along the way, and coins come in when you want to keep going. Here’s the full picture, with nothing tucked into small print.

Short answer: free to start

PandaChat is free to start. When you arrive as a new user you get free matches, so you can take calls straight away without buying anything; there’s no card to enter before your first call. The idea is that you find out whether you like the place before money comes into it.

How many free matches you start with can change, so you won’t see a number on this page. Free matches work like any other call: same Start button, same video, voice and text modes.

You can take your first one from the Panda Video Chat home page right now, or read how PandaChat works first.

How do you get more free matches?

From rewards. While you use PandaChat, the site offers rewards from time to time, and claiming one adds more free matches. We don’t publish when they appear or how often, because that changes, but if a reward pops up while you’re browsing, it’s worth tapping before you close it.

You don’t need to go hunting for them. They turn up as you use the site, and the free matches they add are used the same way as the ones you started with.

Think of them as a bonus rather than a plan. If your first free matches last you an evening or two, anything a reward adds simply stretches that a little further.

Coins

When do you start needing coins?

Once your free matches are used up, further calls use coins from your wallet. A call can also run on past its free part; before it starts using coins, the call screen tells you, so you can decide whether to carry on or hang up. You buy coins in the wallet.

Paying with coins doesn’t change who you can meet: same people, same video, voice and text modes.

Dan in Phoenix, say, spreads his free calls over a couple of evenings, enjoys them, and buys a small pack of coins on the third night, after a call he didn’t want to end.

What else coins are for

Gifts, mainly. In a Live room you can send a gift to the person on camera, and gifts are paid for with coins. Sending one is always your choice; if someone in a room has made you laugh for twenty minutes, a gift is a way of saying so.

There’s also VIP, an optional membership. What it includes and what it costs are shown in the app, and since those details can change, we’d rather point you there than list them here and fall out of date.

Everything else a Live room offers, and where it sits, is in the list of PandaChat features.

Gifts are entirely optional; plenty of people watch Live for weeks without ever sending one.

What stays free?

Looking around costs nothing. You can open PandaChat as a guest, browse Who’s online, scroll the video feed and read profiles without spending coins. Your free matches are free too, of course. Beyond that, go by what the app shows at the time.

Text matches, messages and Live rooms aren’t on that list. That doesn’t mean they cost coins; it means we only list what we’re sure of here, and the app shows the current state better than a web page can.

If you’re unsure about something specific, the app is the place to check what applies at the time; this page sticks to what we can say for certain.

Why “free to start” and not just “free”?

Because video calls cost real money to run, and saying just “free” would set you up for a surprise later. We’d rather tell you up front: the first matches are free, rewards add more, and coins come in after that. So the label you’ll see everywhere on PandaChat is free to start.

You won’t find promises of endless free calls anywhere on the site, because they wouldn’t be true. If you ever spot wording that suggests otherwise, tell us through the contact page.

It’s also why you won’t see prices on this website. They live in the wallet, where they can be kept current.

Keeping track of coins

Your wallet shows your coin balance, and during a call the screen warns you before the call starts using coins. Between those two, you can see what you’re spending as you go.

If something in the wallet doesn’t look right, write to support with the date and what you expected to see; the FAQ answers the common account questions first.

Money questions, answered straight

Is PandaChat free?

It’s free to start. New users get free matches, more are offered as rewards now and then, and further matching after that uses coins.

How many free calls do I get?

The number for new users can change over time, so we don’t print one here; the app shows what applies to you.

How do I get more free matches?

Claim the rewards that pop up while you use the site. Each one adds free matches. They appear from time to time rather than on a fixed schedule.

What are PandaChat coins?

Coins are the site’s currency. You buy them in the wallet and use them to keep matching after your free matches run out, and to send gifts in Live rooms.

Do I need coins to watch Live?

Gifts in a Live room are paid for with coins. For everything else in Live, go by what the app shows when you open it, since that depends on how the site is set up.

Is text matching free?

Text is one of the three match modes, and the match screen shows what each one needs. We don’t label it free here, because what the app shows at the time is the accurate answer.

Is there a PandaChat subscription?

There’s an optional VIP membership. Its benefits and price are shown in the app, and you don’t need it to use PandaChat.

Can I use PandaChat without paying anything?

Yes, to start with. Your free matches and any rewards you claim cost nothing. You only pay if you decide to buy coins or VIP.

Ready when you are.
